Trained with Deepfeet?
Hi!
I get a lot of questions from students who have trained with deepfeet and want to jump into my level two.
Most of those students have opted to take my Level One first instead and here’s why:
Straps: They are a game-changer.
jumping into level two without first knowing your foundational skills with straps is doable but not ideal.
Level two is packed with information and I don’t reserve time to teach about straps, that info is in level one.
The Work: bodymechanics are #1
First, I trained with deepfeet, I was certified in all the levels they had at the time, I even taught for deepfeet for a couple years (all that went away when I switched to teaching with CBM but that’s for another post). I was invested, enamored, passionate… all the things. I respect what deepfeet has done to educate and grow ashiatsu.
However, we simply do not have the same values and vision on bodymechanics. To me this one foundational piece is the most important piece.
We have many things in common, but they are not the same. Our classes are not designed with one another in mind to be interchangeable.
Bodymechanics
(i know, repetitive, but hear me out)
I have been doing ashi since 2009. I fully converted my client base by 2010 and I have done ashi as my full time work for 14 years.
I have 100s of hours of ashiatsu training and instructing.
I know what works and what doesn’t work for your body.
I know you want to enjoy a long healthy and pain-free career and life and I can help you with that!
It is my goal to make sure you don’t end up with some of the injuries I have sustained in the past from:
doing the work wrong and (ahem) doing the work without straps.
I hope to see you in a level one class soon!
